Meet 'The Glee Project' Season 2 Cast
Meet the new crop of talented hopefuls who will be competing to win a role on 'Glee' next season.
This season on The Glee Project, 14 hopefuls will compete to win a spot on the upcoming season of the Fox musical drama. Last year's co-winners, Samuel Larsen and Damien McGinty, both earned meaty story arcs on Glee — will this new crop of talented contenders rise to the challenge and create their own memorable characters? Check out the fresh faces who will be competing for the top prize this season.
Hometown: Tacoma, WA
Nellie, who has been performing for eight years, is currently a vocalist with a local swing band and also plays the piano and guitar. She was discovered for The Glee Project through an online video submission.
Hometown: Boca Raton, FL
Tyler cites Lady Gaga as an inspiration for his music and love learning to play musical instruments — including the ukulele. He is currently a student at Vanderbilt University. Tyler originally auditioned for The Glee Project at the Nashville open casting call.
Hometown: Detroit, MI
Taryn has been performing for over 12 years, but prior to auditioning for The Glee Project, she had never auditioned in front of a live casting panel. She is a trained aerialist who also enjoys cooking and painting. Taryn was discovered for The Glee Project through an online video submission.
Hometown: Nashville, TN
Maxfield is a country singer/songwriter who is new to the stage. His motivation for competing on The Glee Project is to win the respect of a girl he loved and lost (cue the 'awwwwws'). Maxfield originally auditioned for The Glee Project at the Nashville open casting call.
Hometown: Auburn, AL
A student at Auburn university, Shanna has been involved with music for 17 years. She is an experienced tuba and trombone player, and also participates in swimming, softball, basketball, show choir, band, color guard, beta club, and Spanish club. Shanna originally auditioned for The Glee Project online and at the Nashville open casting call.
Hometown: Chicago, IL
Michael has been performing for eight years and is a member of a professional blues band that has performed at the House of Blues in Chicago and also in Tokyo, Japan. Michael was discovered through industry channels to audition for The Glee Project.
7. Lily Mae
Hometown: Cape Cod, MA
Lily Mae has been singing all her life and has been involved with musical theater for the past six years. She is currently enrolled as a student at the Westminster Choir College. Lily Mae originally auditioned for The Glee Project online and at the New York City open casting call.
Hometown: Lanham, MD
Mario is a singer/songwriter who has been performing in school concerts, gospel and chamber choirs, and at Washington DC area churches for nine years. He was born with Morning Glory Syndrome, which caused him to go blind at the age of nine. Despite his disability, he loves to dance, act, and play the piano, guitar, and drums. Mario originally auditioned for The Glee Project online and at the New York City open casting call.
Hometown: Orlando, FL
Dani has been performing since she was in fifth grade. At age 16, she started teaching herself how to play the guitar and write original songs, and has since written and independently released four albums and two singles. Dani made it on to the Top 48 of America’s Got Talent's sixth season. Dani originally auditioned for The Glee Project at the Nashville open casting call.

Abraham is a relative newcomer to performing, but he recently postponed his admission to law school to pursue his dreams of making it in Hollywood. When he's not performing, Abraham works as a legal aid and a bartender in San Diego. Abraham was discovered for The Glee Project through an online video submission.
Hometown: Chicago, IL
Aylin, who comes from a traditional Turkish Muslim family, has been a singer for the past 10 years. She started the first female a cappella group at Loyola Academy, and is currently a student at Roosevelt University majoring in vocal jazz performance at their music conservatory. Aylin originally auditioned for The Glee Project at the Chicago open casting call.

Blake recently moved to Los Angeles from Florida. He has studied acting and improvisation since he was a child, but in his spare time he plays the drums and juggles. When he is not performing, Blake works as a parrot salesman. Blake was discovered through industry channels and invited to audition for The Glee Project.
Hometown: New York, NY
Ali has been an actress and singer for most of her life. She is a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, concentration in drama. Ali is paralyzed from the chest down, and has used a wheelchair since she was two-years-old. Ali originally auditioned for The Glee Project at the New York City open casting call.

Charlie is an actor and a singer who has been performing for 15 years. He earned his BFA in acting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and once performed in an alley in Vienna, Austria, which was part of his senior year choir tour through Europe. Charlie is a person with severe ADHD and low-spectral autism, which has sometimes made socializing more difficult for him. He originally auditioned for The Glee Project at the New York City open casting call.
