Do You Know Justin Bieber's Manliest Moments

Here's what makes Justin Bieber a real manly man.
1. He treats his mom right. Justin is admirably protective of his mother, Pattie Malette, who was still a teenager when she gave birth to him. He hung up on a popular radio morning host when the DJ suggested that One Direction's Harry Styles might have designs on her (word is the British lad has a thing for older ladies). In addition to regularly singing her praises and buying her extravagant gifts, Bieber wrote an (admittedly sappy) tune in her honor, 'Turn to You," and released it for charity on Mother's Day in 2012.

2. He knows how to be romantic. Justin's been dating ex-Disney star Selena Gomez for over a year. Though Gomez doesn't like to discuss her relationship, she has admitted that he's a real romantic — the kind of guy who rents out the Staples Center to watch Titanic. Is there anything manlier than a guy who knows how to treat his lady with respect? We think not. Jax and Justin Bieber at the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards.

3. He's comfortable with kids. Justin is a doting older brother to two half-siblings, Jazzy and Jax. Though he doesn't have a lot of time to hang out with his family, he makes sure to make the most of every return visit to Canada — he even took his little brother as his date to the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto. The guy is clearly a great dad in the making, despite what you might think of his haircut.

4. He knows how to dress himself.

5. He's financially secure.

Bieber pulled in approximately $55 million between May 2011 and May 2012. That's way more than any UFC fighter will ever make over the course of their lifetimes. Sure, a significant portion of those millions were made licensing perfumes and dolls, but when you hit the $50 million mark, that barely matters. Yes, he still needs to work on how he handles unwanted attention — he can't go speeding down the PCH every time he doesn't want his picture taken. And sure, he looks kind of silly carrying heavy things, and we're not so fond of his taste in cars. But to say Justin Bieber isn't a manly man is to seriously underestimate his swagger. While Bieber has yet to establish himself as the paragon of masculinity, he's actually on the right track. Though he makes headlines for whipping his chrome Batmobile down California highways and allegedly shoving nosy photographers, he's actually leagues more mature than most full-grown men — none of whom have had to deal with puberty in the public eye. Justin Bieber has seen and done a lot of things since 2009, when he released his debut album My World and created a pop cultural phenomenon with each toss of his mop. Rolling Stone's latest cover story explores Bieber's position as the reigning man-child of pop, a superstar just barely out of his adolescence who's pulling in a lot of cash for a lot of people. Bieber, who turned 18 a few months ago, told the magazine, "I feel like I carry myself in a more manly way. I don't carry myself as a boy."

Madonna Facing Lawsuit Over Swastika Use in France

  •  Madonna took her shock antics to Paris over the weekend, flashing a nipple and a crack for her French fans and seriously offending one far-right politician. Despite threats of legal action, the singer performed her song "Nobody Knows Me" before a video-montage that included a shot of Front National party leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika emblazoned on her forehead. Also featured in the visual slambook were Egypt's Hosni Mubarak, Pope Benedict, and Sarah Palin.

  •  Madonna's ample bosom is the star of the show in her new music video for "Turn Up the Radio." There's really nothing memorable about the latest video, which features breakdance challenges and convertible parties with hot men.

  •  The chestiest couple in the entertainment business is officially kaput. Katy Perry and Russell Brand's 14-month marriage was officially dissolved on Monday, six months after the pair reached an agreement as per California law. Katy has since been spotted with male model Baptiste Giabiconi and guitarist Robert Ackroyd, while Russell has been macking on ladies in his yoga classes and maybe throwing phones at photographers.

  •  What would have been a legendary night in rock 'n' roll was cut short by the organizers of the Hard Rock Calling Festival. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were joined by Paul McCartney for a few tunes during their headlining gig on Saturday night, but organizers cut the power to the stars' microphones just as they launched into a rendition of the Beatles classic "Twist and Shout."

  •  Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been spending a lot of time together for two superstars who are supposedly on the rocks. Hollywood Life reports that the two shared a PDA-heavy dinner date at Melbourne, Australia hotspot Stokehouse. Perhaps more interesting: The squeaky-clean teens enjoyed some alcohol! But before you clutch your pearls, remember the drinking age in Australia is 18.

  •  Marilyn Manson is thinking about becoming someone's dad. The rocker told the UK's Observer, "I've started to think that maybe I wouldn't mind passing my demented genius on to some small thing who can set fire and breathe profanity.

  •  The most beautiful song you'll hear today is The xx's new single "Angels," the first off their upcoming album Coexist.

A lawyer for the Front National party told the Associated Press that they will file a complaint in the French court over the "insults."

Marine Le Pen has been accused of anti-Semitism and racism, particularly over comments she made in 2010 likening the blocking of public streets and squares for Muslim prayer to an occupation of French territory.

In May, when Madonna debuted the controversial video montage in Tel Aviv, Marine Le Pen sniped, "We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes."

Madonna's still working overtime to shock everyone's socks off, but she might have to pay for it soon. She's going to get hit with a lawsuit, or so says a controversial French politician. Also in music news, Katy Perry is officially a single lady, Bruce Springsteen is not the boss of Live Nation, and you can go on believing in love since Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are still going strong.

Justin Bieber and 'N Sync Get the 'Boyfriend' Mash-Up Treatment

He wrote in the video's caption, "Now before anyone starts BIEBER NOR TIMBERLAKE SOUND ALIKE. And I didn't create this mashup to defame either of them, I genuinely wanted to mix these two songs because I knew they would go together so well."

It's worth noting that Bieber's music video also blends well with 'N Sync's old "Girlfriend" video... as they're essentially the same thing. Interesting!

A new Bieber/'N Sync mash-up has been making the rounds since last week, delighting fans and reminding everyone that Nelly exists. The DJ behind the piece, Raheem D, seems well aware of the potential drama behind this particular pairing.

It's well-established that Justin Bieber does not appreciate Justin Timberlake comparisons. The Canadian pop phenom has snapped at the suggestion that his song "Boyfriend" sounds like Timberlake material, but, well, it does — and it sounds kind of amazing all mashed up with it, too.

Lovely,Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber Made More Money Than Adele in the Past Year

Also a big earner: Justin Bieber, who pulled approximately $55 million. I've said it a thousand times: Never underestimate the power of the 13-year-old girl.

Only three non-musicians made the list: Kristen Stewart ($34.5 million), Taylor Lautner ($26.5 million), and Robert Pattinson ($28.5 million). Noticeably absent was performer Miley Cyrus, who put her music career on pause to work on a couple movies. Unfortunately, LOL only made $46,500 in its limited release earlier this year, and So Undercover has yet to be released.

Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber Made More Money Than Adele in the Past Year

(Getty)It's a weird, weird world we live in. Adele's critically-acclaimed sophomore album 21 has been ruling the charts for well over a year now, but she still made less cash than a number of her poppy peers. Justin Bieber may have to dip into his buckets of gold to settle with a woman who's suing him for destroying her hearing. Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson are on a mission to bring evil back. Here's the news.

  •  Andrew WK unveiled the world's first pizza guitar with ESP this week on Pitchfork TV. You really have to watch from 1:35 onward.

  •  Lady Gaga, Lindsay Lohan, and Lana Del Rey had a sleepover at the Chateau Marmont this week. Gaga teased Lohan about her low-calorie cucumber snack on Twitter at one point, writing, "When you ordered a cucumber and a knife to the bar last night, I thought your were gonna perform a vasectomy #justaskinnyb*8ch," but later erased the tweets. The trio supposedly spent the evening watching old movies and playing board games. Zzzzz.

  •  Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson will co-headline a tour through U.S. and Europe because of course they will. Zombie stated, "Finally! Why did the most obvious tour take so long to happen? Who knows? Who cares? It's happening now. If good taste is the chief enemy of great art, then we should be able to fill the Louvre with this f**king tour. Be prepared for something wicked this way a-coming."

  •  The-Dream has backed away from some nasty, passive aggressive things he said yesterday on Twitter, claiming that his words were not about his ex-wife Christina Milian but simply a bizarrely timed response to some unnamed fan's question. Uh huh.

The-Dream wrote, "I just figured out people are attaching twitter things to Someone yesterday. Actually I was answering a Fan openly like I always do but..... Excluded they're Name. So I'm sicerely Sorry if anyone was offended. Christina is a Good Parent and a Great role model."

The mega-producer went on to say he wanted to keep his childrens' lives as private as possible and that he wished Milian well: "all things need Time. I have no strife with Christina for I know this life is To Long someXs you fght those u love most."

  •  One of my current favorite bands, Caveman, has just unveiled a haunting new music video for their song "Old Friend." It's the least annoying high-concept music video we've seen in months, and features an appearance from Extremely Sexy Individual Peter Saarsgaard.
  •  Taylor Swift is the top-earning celebrity under 30, Forbes reports. The country crossover queen reportedly raked in an impressive $57 million between May 2011 and 2012, giving her the freedom to live out the rest of her sparkly, dreamy life in a Disneyland castle populated with fuzzy wuzzy kittens, if she so desires. While Swift sold nowhere near the number of albums that British singer-songwriter Adele has moved, she augmented her income with tour ticket sales and lucrative licensing deals (fairy tale princess perfumes, basically).

  •  One Oregon woman is hoping to land some of that Bieber cash: Stacey Wilson Betts claims her ear drums ruptured when she attended one of Justin's concerts with her daughter in 2010. In one of the suit's more colorful passages, Betts alleges:
[Bieber] created a wave-like effect of screaming by pointing into various sections of the arena. Then enticed the crowd into a frenzy of screams by continuously waving his arms in a quick and upward motion.
Bet you Betts will face at least a few poorly spelled death threats on Twitter for this.

Paid Attention to Celebs' Most Ridiculous Backstage Demands(Party One)

Do You Know Who I Am?!
The irony of Mick Jagger singing "You Can't Always Get What You Want," at the height of the Rolling Stones' popularity in 1969 was that Jagger and co. could indeed get whatever they wanted. All they had to do was put it in a concert rider. These days the Stones' wildest demand is for a backstage snooker table, but not all stars are so modest. From chaffeur instructions to specific food requests, these asks give new meaning to the phrase "high maintenance."

Jay-Z
Jay-Z is used to riding in style, and he expects nothing less when he's playing a show. Jay asks that his venue transportation be a late-model black Mayback (either a 57 or 62 model, preferably). Once backstage, Jay likes to sip on some of the finest of alcoholic beverages, including two bottles of $300 champagne and two $200 bottles of 2004 Sassicaia, which is described as a "red Italian wine from Bolgheri region." Quite the highbrow tastes for Mr. Z.

Beyonce
Beyonce's demands are pretty modest, but she is very specific about her poultry needs. In its own section on Bey's rider is a "Juicy Baked Chicken" with the instruction, "Please season with fresh garlic, season salt, black pepper, and Cayenne pepper HEAVILY SEASONED!!"

Kanye West
Does it surprise anyone that Kanye West is rather particular when it comes to his green room requests? 'Ye is big on skin care, requesting that hand sanitizer, Nivea Intensive Lotion, Neutrogena face scrub, and Carmex lip balm be waiting for him upon arrival. He's a big Pepsi guy, and explicitly states there are to be "NO COKE PRODUCTS" among his refreshments. Finally, when it comes to his chauffeurs, West only rides with drivers who are wearing 100 percent cotton, "no man-made fibers."

Katy Perry
When Katy Perry is on tour she wants her dressing room outfitted in a very specific way. It's to be draped in cream or soft pink linens and adorned with fresh flowers, but "ABSOLUTELY NO CARNATIONS." And if you're one of Perry's drivers, don't assume she wants to be your friend. Her rider notes that drivers are not allowed to "start a conversation with the client," and are not to make eye-contact with her via the rear-view mirror.

Mariah Carey
Who drinks Cristal with a bendy straw? Mariah Carey that's who, so if you plan on booking her, you better provide both backstage.

Jennifer Lopez
Aside from her all-white dressing room accents, Jennifer Lopez has a few food and drinks on her list of demands. Fruit is a big one — mango, green seedless grapes, pineapple, cantaloupe, papaya, watermelon — and that apple pie she wants better be a la mode. Also, J.Lo needs her Evian water served at room temperature. No excuses.

Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber isn't one for controversy, and his celebrity rider is right in line with that reputation (mixed nuts, fruit, and bottled water don't really tip the diva scale). However, Biebz is big into plain white shirts and socks. If you want to book the pop star, you'll need to buy dozens of packages of crew neck and V-neck T-shirts, tank tops, and low-rise socks ranging from size extra small to extra large.

Britney Spears
Britney Spears does not tolerate phone calls. If her dressing room phone gets an incoming call, she charges the venue a $5,000 fine. As for catering requests, Britney's list not surprisingly includes a few junk food items like Doritos, KFC, Pop Tarts, and Captain Crunch. Don't worry, she asks for a vegetable tray too.

Christina Aguilera
No one likes traffic, but Christina Aguilera refuses to get stuck in gridlock, which is why she requires a police escort to and from the venue. When Christina arrives at the venue (in a timely manner, of course), her dressing room is supposed to be stocked full of everything from Oreos to soy cheese to Nesquick to Flintstones Chewable Vitamins.

Do You Know ThatJustin Bieber and Selena Gomez Are Breaking Up?

Now, before all the Beliebers get up in arms about the possibility of a babeless Bieber, let's remember that Gomez is 19 and her man is 18. Has any teen couple not broken up at least a time or two? Especially when that teen couple is forced to go weeks without seeing each other and has the added pressures of fame and fortune. Now that doesn't mean the breakup rumors are bunk, but we have to think their behavior is at least somewhat par for the course when it comes to dating in that age bracket, in Hollywood especially.

The pair made their public debut in March 2011 at an Oscar party. After that they frequently walked the red carpet together and made sure to share at least a public smooch or two at every awards show they attended. Most recently, Bieber and Gomez attended the premiere of Katy Perry's movie, but opted out of posing on the red carpet. Their last public appearance was on June 30, when they enjoyed popsicles at the park.

Could it be? Could Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez really be headed for splitsville? Whether you want to believe it or not, TMZ is reporting the young couple has been on the rocks over the last couple of months.

Unnamed sources say they temporarily broke up just last week and that's not the first time. Apparently they've split up multiple times over the last couple of months. They've decided to give things another shot, though.

Wow, Watch All 4 of Justin Bieber's 'Today' Show Musical Numbers

Check out all four songs Justin performed on the show, and vote for your favorite below.

1. Boyfriend

2. Baby

3. As Long As You Love Me

4. All Around the World

Justin Bieber elicited his usual quota of excited pubescent screams as he performed on the Today show Friday, popping and locking to the beat of "Boyfriend," and forever changing the lives of a lucky few fans by holding their hands.

Today anchor Matt Lauer told the young superstar that fans had been waiting for him since Tuesday, camping on the sidewalk, and putting off everything else for a chance to see him up close. So of course they lost their minds when Justin made a surprise appearance a day earlier to lift their spirits.

Let's Watch Justin Bieber Rehearse His 'Boyfriend' Moves in Drop Crotch Sweatpants

The video shows Justin getting his groove on before an all-new dance crew, thrusting and grabbing at his unmentionables in a pair of drawstring sweat pants. Yes: Even superstars wear sweat pants.

On Friday, Bieber will perform live at Rockefeller Center on Today. Fans have already been camping out overnight for a spot close to the superstar, despite the fact that they're not allowed to pitch tents in the space. Hopefully New York City Beliebers prove themselves more composed than Oslo's when Justin takes the stage...

Earlier this week, Justin Bieber promised his fans at least one new behind-the-scenes video every day until the June 19 release of his much-anticipated new album, Believe. The pop phenom has, of course, lived up to his word, posting a brief clip of rehearsals for his Around the World Promo Tour.

Justin Bieber's 'All Around the World' Featuring Ludacris

Justin Bieber Showcase In Milan The song is a tight, coherent take on the synth-laden pop that's currently ubiquitous on American radio, the sort of track being pumped out by everyone from Jennifer Lopez to Nicki Minaj. Yes, it's ridiculously catchy: As evidenced by his willingness to lift up his shirt on command, the Biebs is all about giving his fans what they want.

The fan reaction to the song has been overwhelmingly positive. The song quickly shot to the No. 2 spot on the iTunes singles charts, prompting Bieber to joke, "#AllAroundTheWorld is #2 on ITUNES!!! @carlyraejepsen can i have that #1 spot...maybe? haha. had to do it. Push for #1!"

Not all Justin's fans are down with the new track. Some Beliebers seem a little upset by his move toward the mainstream, and possibly his burgeoning maturity. One top comment on a YouTube upload of the new song reads, "Love the song, just hate that people come now like 'omygod i like him so much' while they were first making fun of him.. + I miss the old Justin. I still love him, i will always love him. But i miss the old Justin. But people change (: I will never forget that little kid. kidrauhl ♥."

Justin Bieber's upcoming album, Believe (due out June 19), is bound to hit the number one spot on the Billboard 200 by the sheer force of his ardent Twitter following alone, but the savvy management team behind the Canadian pop phenom is doing everything it can to ensure total album sales domination. On Tuesday, Bieber released the second song off his upcoming release, the house-heavy club banger "All Around the World," which features guest verses from Ludacris (Shawty Mane has yet to rear his bespectacled, rhyme-spitting head).

Beyoncé to Make Post-Baby Return to the Big Screen in Animated Kids Flick

Epic is expected to hit theaters in May 2013.

Rihanna and Jonah Hill on the set of The End of the World. (FameFlynet)
  •  It'll probably be awhile before Rihanna decides to cash in on children's programming. The Barbados-born pop star is currently filming a cameo as herself in The End of the World, also known as Seth Rogen's directorial debut. Pictures from the set reveal that she's several thousand times hotter than her co-star Jonah Hill, and that she's working a black weave in the film.

  •  Also, Rihanna's posting nudie photos of herself on Instagram but she sort of has a good reason: Her new perfume is called Nude, remember?

  •  Everyone's talking about the inch of rear end that Rihanna has on display in the new Esquire UK, but what's more interesting is how angry she gets in the interview when asked about her recent collaborations with Chris Brown. She's much, much cheerier when asked who she thinks is hot: "Ooh! Cheryl Cole is...hot. I would just like to watch her work. Preferably cleaning things on the floor. Picking up stuff on the floor. Bending over."

The singer eventually confessed that Adele is even hotter, though.

Justin Bieber happily admits this is not the house for him.
   •  It's okay to laugh at the fact that Justin Bieber ran into a glass door in Paris on Thursday now that it's clear he's going to be just fine. HAHAHAHA!

The Biebs walked directly into a glass door backstage during his concert in the City of Lights, but completed his performance despite feeling disoriented. The singer eloquently told TMZ, "I guess me and glass windows just don't work." He also tweeted, "i will see u again Glass. I will have my revenge. BIEBER vs GLASS. MGM LAS VEGAS 2013. lol. #GottaLaughAtYourself."

  •  Because Beliebers are sometimes prone to overreaction, the hashtag #PrayforJustin trended yesterday.

  •  Today in Anonymous Sources News: Katy Perry reportedly refused to cut her ex-husband Russell Brand out of her new 3-D concert film Part of Me. But Brand is so busy preparing for the MTV Movie Awards (and inviting fans via Twitter!) that it's safe to say he's no longer too worried about it.

  •  Madonna kicked off her latest world tour in Tel Aviv, Israel on Thursday. Though the longtime pop star has been making headlines for her not-so-subtle jabs at Lady Gaga, she also made a plea for peace:
I chose to start my world tour in Israel for a very specific and important reason. If we can all rise above our egos and our titles and the names of our countries and our religions, and treat everyone around us with respect, then we are on the road to peace."  •  Meanwhile, Lady Gaga is predicting she'll be more Liza Minelli than Madge 35 years down the line, tweeting, "don't judge me if 35 years from now I have a clothing line like Liza. sort of a suppressed dream. I WANT TO SELL VELOUR and sparkly CHARMS!"

Lil Wayne: Tweeting mad about NBA playoffs. (Getty)
  •  Lil Wayne is under the impression that he can just waltz into NBA playoffs games without a ticket and then complain about it via Twitter when he's denied. The face of entitlement has some sparkly teeth these days. Except he's a Spurs fan, so, he wins anyway.

  •  Big Sean brags about rocking "Louboutin condoms" in his collaboration with Chris Brown and Wiz Khalifa, "Till I Die." Luckily these fantasy luxury items do not make an appearance in the new music video for the track.

Now that Beyonce has a child, she's taking it easy—meaning that her first post-Blue Ivy movie role will require precious little time in front of a camera. Also in music news, Justin Bieber gave himself a concussion but didn't lose his sense of humor, Madonna kicked off her world tour with a bid for peace in Tel Aviv, Rihanna has a hilarious appreciation for Cheryl Cole's rear end (but still believes one other pop star is hotter), and more.

  •  Big surprise: Beyonce remains the hardest worker in the business of show. With a string of Atlantic City gigs behind her, the pop superstar will soon set to work on Epic, an animated kids film from the makers of Ice Age and Rio.

According to Deadline, Beyonce will voice the character Queen Tara alongside vocals by Colin Ferrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Aziz Ansari, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Tyler, and others. It isn't Beyonce's first venture into children's fare: She voiced Shine, the lead singer of a pop group called The Wubb Girlz, on Nickelodeon's Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! in 2009.

Again Madonna Fires a Shot at Lady Gaga

TMZ reports that the case will be referred to the LA County D.A. for possible criminal prosecution. The investigation is ongoing, and the police have requested an interview with Bieber, who is currently in Norway. If Bieber is charged and convicted, he could face up to six months in jail.

So that's the bad news. The good news for Bieber fans is that the long weekend also saw the release of a new song. Following his "Boyfriend" single, Bieber has dropped another track off his upcoming Believe. Unlike "Boyfriend," which went for a Justin Timberlake "SexyBack" kind of vibe, "Die in Your Arms" is more of a sunny pop song a la the Jackson 5. It's sure to make tween girls across the world swoon. And for those worried about how Bieber's post-pubescent voice holds up, there's a heavy dose of autotune to put those concerns to rest. Have a listen to the new track below.

  •  The fires of the Lady Gaga/Madonna flame war have been stoked once again thanks to footage from Madge's recent concert rehearsal in Tel Aviv. As she is wont to do (see: Elton John, hydrangeas, etc.), Madonna previously made a fuss over Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," claiming the song was a rip-off of her own 1989 track, "Express Yourself."

In the condescending, passive-aggressive fashion that has unfortunately become Madonna's trademark, she told Newsweek back in January, "["Born This Way"] is a wonderful way to redo my song "Express Yourself." I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was… interesting." Now, as if to prove her point, Madonna is incorporating Gaga's song into her tour.

The rehearsal footage (right) captured before her show in Israel reveals a mash-up of "Express Yourself" and "Born This Way." To drive things home, Madonna finishes with lyrics from her 2008 Hard Candy hit "She's Not Me." Zing! To Madonna's credit, hearing the mash-up of the two songs makes it hard to deny their striking similarities.

  •  They say you should never compare yourself to anybody, but apparently that's not the case when it comes to reality TV judging salaries. According to TMZ, Britney Spears had one very specific stipulation before signing her contract with X Factor: She had to make more than Jennifer Lopez did for her first season of American Idol. J.Lo's salary that year was a cool $12 mil, which made Britney's minimum $13 million.

Britney Spears and her $15 million dollar smile (FameFlynet)
According to X Factor sources talking to TMZ, Spears started negotiations around $20 million before settling with Simon Cowell and company at the highly-publicized $15 million mark. The question now is what Britney's salary will mean for Lopez when she sits down to work out a new deal with Idol. Given the precedent and the level of diva-ness involved in the situation, it's safe to assume J.Lo won't stand for anything less than what Britney's making, but with Idol having it's lowest ratings in years, can they afford it?

  •  It's been a busy couple of days for one of music's biggest names. Over the weekend Justin Bieber got in a bit of a scrap with a member of the paparazzi when the photog tried to snap a shot of Justin and his lady love Selena Gomez. The photographer was rushed to the hospital after complaining of chest pains (he was released soon after) and is accusing the 18-year-old pop star of battery.

In today's music news, it's a good news/bad news situation for Justin Bieber fans, Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez have paycheck envy, and Lady Gaga gets dissed by Madonna.
