Madonna Facing Lawsuit Over Swastika Use in France

  •  Madonna took her shock antics to Paris over the weekend, flashing a nipple and a crack for her French fans and seriously offending one far-right politician. Despite threats of legal action, the singer performed her song "Nobody Knows Me" before a video-montage that included a shot of Front National party leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika emblazoned on her forehead. Also featured in the visual slambook were Egypt's Hosni Mubarak, Pope Benedict, and Sarah Palin.

  •  Madonna's ample bosom is the star of the show in her new music video for "Turn Up the Radio." There's really nothing memorable about the latest video, which features breakdance challenges and convertible parties with hot men.

  •  The chestiest couple in the entertainment business is officially kaput. Katy Perry and Russell Brand's 14-month marriage was officially dissolved on Monday, six months after the pair reached an agreement as per California law. Katy has since been spotted with male model Baptiste Giabiconi and guitarist Robert Ackroyd, while Russell has been macking on ladies in his yoga classes and maybe throwing phones at photographers.

  •  What would have been a legendary night in rock 'n' roll was cut short by the organizers of the Hard Rock Calling Festival. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were joined by Paul McCartney for a few tunes during their headlining gig on Saturday night, but organizers cut the power to the stars' microphones just as they launched into a rendition of the Beatles classic "Twist and Shout."

  •  Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have been spending a lot of time together for two superstars who are supposedly on the rocks. Hollywood Life reports that the two shared a PDA-heavy dinner date at Melbourne, Australia hotspot Stokehouse. Perhaps more interesting: The squeaky-clean teens enjoyed some alcohol! But before you clutch your pearls, remember the drinking age in Australia is 18.

  •  Marilyn Manson is thinking about becoming someone's dad. The rocker told the UK's Observer, "I've started to think that maybe I wouldn't mind passing my demented genius on to some small thing who can set fire and breathe profanity.

  •  The most beautiful song you'll hear today is The xx's new single "Angels," the first off their upcoming album Coexist.

A lawyer for the Front National party told the Associated Press that they will file a complaint in the French court over the "insults."

Marine Le Pen has been accused of anti-Semitism and racism, particularly over comments she made in 2010 likening the blocking of public streets and squares for Muslim prayer to an occupation of French territory.

In May, when Madonna debuted the controversial video montage in Tel Aviv, Marine Le Pen sniped, "We understand how old singers who need to get people talking about them go to such extremes."

Madonna's still working overtime to shock everyone's socks off, but she might have to pay for it soon. She's going to get hit with a lawsuit, or so says a controversial French politician. Also in music news, Katy Perry is officially a single lady, Bruce Springsteen is not the boss of Live Nation, and you can go on believing in love since Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are still going strong.

Wow, Madonna Bursts Into Tears During 'Like a Virgin' Performance

Lady Gaga had a most awesome Independence Day, everybody.

•  Lady Gaga is definitely not sad right now. She had an awesome 4th of July in New York with her pals, judging by the pictures.

•  Katy Perry has issued a swift judo chop to the "amicable separation" talk that most celebrities blather when they're going through a divorce by pinning the blame for her recent breakup entirely on Russell Brand. When told by an interviewer from The Sun that her new movie made it appear that it was Brand's failure to visit her on tour that ruined their marriage, Perry admitted, "Yes, if I could edit it any other way I would, but that's exactly the way it was."

•  Rihanna's dad Ronald Fenty wouldn't mind if his daughter reunited with her abusive ex Chris Brown. He recenly told Grazia magazine (via NY Daily News) that the pair have "matured," and that the fans want to see a reunion: "Her fans are hoping it will happen. They see them as the perfect couple."

•  Speaking of perfect couples, Taylor Swift spent her Independence Day with do-gooder and model Patrick Schwarzenegger in Massachusetts. They might be just friends, but they are both very attractive and very wealthy so we'll just speculate that they're totally into each other. Swifty is obsessed with the Kennedy family, after all. And he looks really good with his shirt off.

•  If you're still paying attention, take a listen to Girl in a Coma's cover of Martha and the Vandellas' 1964 hit "Heatwave," perhaps the perfect song for a rocking pool party.

•  At this point, Madonna's running out of shock-and-awe tactics, having already flashed a breast and a bum on her current MDNA tour. During a recent performance in Berlin, the performer decided to go an entirely new route, turning her '80s pop confection "Like a Virgin" into a slow, tragic tune about obsessive and destructive love. The singer even shed a few tears during the performance, her face turned away from the audience, giving off the air of a ruined, once-beautiful film star obsessed with her past.

The singer's theatrics could have been a response to a recent piece in Vogue Italia, in which Giulia Blasi opined, "Madonna's show leaves nothing to chance or spontaneity," sniping that the entire affair comes off "like a very long Glee fantasy sequence crossed with a particularly lavish Eurovision Song Contest perforrnance, with better songs and a lot less humour."

Or Madonna could be trying to one-up her pop competitor Lady Gaga, who recently unveiled a an extremely depressing song about suicidal ideation, "Princess Die." See: Madonna can be sad, too!

Madonna is a much more capable actress than anyone who's seen Shanghai Surprise might think. The pop performer squeezed out some melodramatic tears during a performance of "Like a Virgin" in Berlin, perhaps in response to recent criticism that her show is a soulless, heartless parade of spectacle.

Also in music news, Katy Perry thinks her divorce was all Russell Brand's fault, Rihanna's dad thinks her daughter should get back together with Chris Brown, Lady Gaga knows how to party, and Taylor Swift may be dating American royalty. Explanation forthcoming.

Fergie and Josh Duhamel Go All Out for 'Rock of Ages' Premiere

Fergie didn't look quite as tacky, but she did seem to enjoy dressing up in a very tight LBD
decorated with gold wings of sorts. What she lacked in authentic '80s style she made up for with her impressive open-mouthed sexyface.

Seeing as how this couple did suchJulianne+Hough in a great job of fitting in with the movie's 1987 setting, we're a little disappointed that the film's stars didn't get into character on the red carpet. Tom Cruise wore boring jeans and a suede jacket, while Julianne Hough looked gorgeous in a chartreuse dress that almost counts as '80s because of its neon hue. Malin Akerman wasn't even close. She just went for straight-up Angelina Jolie sexy. Russell Brand did a little better, but we couldn't tell if he was trying to wear a costume or he was just being himself. It's really anyone's guess. The guy definitely has unique style.

If you didn't get enough awesomely bad fashion from Fergie and her man on the red carpet, then you'll love Rock of Ages. The film hits theaters June 15.

Fergie and Josh Duhamel don't star in Rock of Ages, but they should definitely be included in a sequel! The married couple showed up at the film's premiere Friday in L.A. in some very impressive '80s garb -- big hair and skin-tight leather included.

Mr. Duhamel stole the show with his over-the-top black wig, which made the guys of Poison look a bit amateur with their bleached-out spiky 'dos. He paired the mess of curls with a black leather blazer and scarf, and apparently didn't feel the need for a shirt. The star accessorized with a half-full bottle of beer and a cigarette, along with a tacky gold chain and dark aviators. We have to wonder how long the actor spent refining his look.
