1. Choice Comedian: Ellen DeGeneres
Ellen DeGeneres was honored with the first surf board trophy of the night, and she brought along her favorite YouTube stars, Sophia Grace and Rosie, to help her accept. They were obviously very excited about the whole thing. Also nominated: Jimmy Fallon, Andy Samberg, Daniel Tosh, Kristen Wiig
2. Choice TV Show, Sci-Fi/Fantasy: 'The Vampire Diaries'
The cast of the Vampire Diaries was probably the hottest ensemble to take the stage at the Teen Choice Awards. Also nominated:Fringe, Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, True Blood
3. Choice TV Show, Drama: 'Pretty Little Liars'
Also vying for hottest ensemble of the night? The cast of Pretty Little Liars. Lucy Hale and company were showered with compliments on their outfits via Twitter, with @TrueDDLovatoFan calling them "flawless." Also nominated:Bones, Gossip Girl, Revenge, Touch
4. Choice Movie Actor, Drama: Zac Efron for 'The Lucky One'
Zac Efron has been serious about rebranding himself as a serious actor, and it paid off with a surfboard trophy for his performance in The Lucky One. Twitter user @BBieberSupport congratulated him for being, "probably the only man who came from Disney Channel and made it this far without a singing career." 5. Choice Female Hottie: Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus wasn't able to make it to the awards ceremony pick up her award for Choice Hottie, so here's a picture of her in a bikini to remind you why she won. Also nominated: Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Kate Upton
6. Choice Male Hottie: Ian Somerhalder
Vampires Diaries fans were thrilled to see Ian Somerhalder take home the Choice Male Hottie Award. Excited Twitter fan Paula (@_DelenaSupport_) tweeted, "Ian Somerhalder just beat Justin Beiber & Robert Pattinson for “Choice Hottie” The world has finally come to its senses!" 7. Choice Music Group: Selena Gomez & the Scene
Selena Gomez & the Scene may be on hiatus, but their fans made them winners at the Teen Choice Awards. Selena was doubly thrilled when a tray of cupcakes complete with sparklers for candles were carted onstage in honor of her birthday. Also nominated: Gym Class Heroes, Lady Antebellum, LMFAO, The Wanted
8. Choice Movie, Comedy: '21 Jump Street'
One half of the hilarious duo at the core of the 21 Jump Street remake, Jonah Hill accepted the award for the movie. Also nominated:American Reunion; Crazy, Stupid, Love.; The Muppets; What to Expect When You’re Expecting
9. Ultimate Choice: The Twilight Saga
Twilight's big three stars showed up to accept thair honorary "Ultimate" award. Robert Pattinson decided the surf board trophy belonged to the fans, and tossed it into the audience, quipping, "Not that I don’t appreciate it, but thank you guys so much, it has been an amazing 5 years." Also nominated: N/A, honorary award
10. Inspire Award: Miranda Cosgrove
She's best known for hit Disney show iCarly, but at the Teen Choice Awards we discovered Miranda Cosgrove has been filling her free time with volunteer work and classes at USC. She was rightfully honored with the Acuvue Inspire Award. Also nominated: N/A, honorary award
11. Choice Female Artist: Taylor Swift
The word "classy" popped up in several tweets about Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the Teen Choice Awards, where she told fans, "I'm just so honored I have you guys in my life." Also nominated: Adele, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Rihanna
12. Choice Move Actor, Sci-Fi/ Fantasy: Josh Hutcherson for 'The Hunger Games'
Fans loved Josh Hutcherson's character in The Hunger Games, and he had to agree when he accepted his award. “My character Peeta is the bomb. I love him to death,” he said. Also nominated: Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson
13. Choice Summer Music Star, Group: One Direction
It was a big night for British boy band One Direction. Not only did they win Choice Summer Music Stars, they also won Choice Love Song and Breakout Artist. Unfortunately they were too busy recording in London to attend. Also nominated: Coldplay, Gym Class Heroes, Maroon 5, One Direction, The Wanted
14. Choice Summer Movie Star, Male: Chris Hemsworth
Thanks to some seriously big movies, seriously big actor Chris Hemsworth is now a certifiable star. With big-budget films released this summer it's no surprised Chris took home a surf board. Also nominated: Robert Downey Jr., Andrew Garfield, Adam Sandler, Will Smith
