• Season 2 of American Horror Story is adding another familiar face to the asylum. Former All My Children star Mark Consuelos (Kelly Ripa's hubby) is joining the FX spook-fest as a patient named Spivey. Consuelos joins season one stars Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, and Zachary Quinto, along with new faces James Cromwell, Joseph Fiennes, Adam Levine, Chloe Sevigny, and Lizzie Brochere in the new season, which will take place in an institution for the criminally insane.
• How I Met Your Mother fans who were hoping to finally (FINALLY) meet the mother this season may have to wait another year. Though Season 8 hasn't even started, the show is reportedly already in talks for a ninth season. Maybe they should think about changing the show's name to How I Never Met Your Mother. HIMYM returns to CBS on Monday, September 24 at 8pm.
• If you missed the Comic-Con debut of MTV's adaptation of the raunchy British series The Inbetweeners (premiering August 20 at 10:30pm), you can check out the trailer below. Looks to be another solid foray into scripted programming for the network.
• Get ready to make some new Game of Thrones friends (or enemies). The HBO hit will welcome 14 new castmembers next season, including Diana Rigg (of the classic British series The Avengers) as Lady Olenna Tyrell, Mackenzie Crook as the wildling "skinchanger" Orell, and Clive Russell as Bryndon Tyrell, aka the Blackfish. Click on over to The Hollywood Reporter for a full list of the rest of the new cast members.
• DVR Watch: Contestants eat leeches on Fear Factor (NBC, 8pm), the Hell's Kitchen chef's take on a wing-eating competition (Fox, 8pm), the men dish about their time with Emily on The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All (ABC, 8pm), Ricky starts college and reunites with an old friend from foster care of The Secret Life of the American Teenager (ABCFAM, 8pm), Boo has a crush on a bartender on Bunheads (ABCFAM, 9pm), wormholes randomly materialize on Eureka (Syfy, 9pm), Provenza encounters trouble while trying to help his ex-wife find her wedding ring on The Closer (TNT, 9pm), Jamie Bamber guest stars on Perception (TNT, 10pm), and Bo and Ash have a confrontation on Lost Girl (Syfy, 10pm).
Quinn Fabray is headed to Yale next season on Glee, and Dianna Agron also has her sights set on greener pastures.
The actress confirmed via her Twitter account that she is currently in talks to play Robert De Niro’s daughter in the movie Malavita, a comedy thriller about a mobster who moves to France as part of the Witness Protection Program. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tommy Lee Jones is also in talks to star in the flick, which is based on a novel by Tonino Benacquista.
Agron may still appear on Glee next season, but it seems unlikely that she'll have a major storyline, given the multitude of characters in play at McKinley High and in New York City. This new role in Malavita may be the actress' first step towards a succesful post-Glee film career after the poor showing of her last movie, I Am Number Four.
