It's been 10 years since The Bourne Identity turned Matt Damon into a bankable action star. Now we've got our first glimpse of Jeremy Renner filling Matt's shoes as the new star of the franchise in The Bourne Legacy, due out August 3.
This will be the first lead role Renner's tackled since his breakout role in The Hurt Locker, and it sets him up for a big few years. He's also been tapped to be the future face of the Mission: Impossible franchise as Tom Cruise's role diminishes in the following movies. At least according to the Hollywood rumor mill.
