"My idea behind the collaboration was to design for the Topshop girl a range that was young and fun, similar to both the fashion and make-up I wear already," explains Gray.
"My mainline collections have always been about pushing optimism, color and fun, I want her to experiment with the product, be daring and have fun with it."
The designer will no doubt hope to repeat the hype surrounding February's Katrantzou capsule collection launch, which in the tradition of high street/designer collaborations sold out online within hours.
Following the huge success of the third Mary Katrantzou for Topshop capsule collection earlier this year, the high street store has announced it will team up with London Fashion Week star Louise Gray for a beauty and fashion line.
Gray, who along with the likes of David Koma and Holly Fulton is considered one of the most exciting rising British designers, impressed with her colorful London Fashion Week show back in February, where models sported mohawks and fluorescent cosmetics.
The collaboration will launch in late August, comprising playful and bright make-up including glitter pots and flouro eye colors in creamy textures. The clothing collection will evoke her trademark simple shapes and experiments with color and texture.
